REVIEWS

For those who are already named Melissa, and for parents contemplating the name for a new born daughter, The Melissa Book provides a delightful assortment of background information on the name and its origins.

Chapter after chapter, the reader is presented with an insight into those already bearing the name, some famous, a few infamous, in walks of life varying from the arts, via commerce to sport and athletics.

The amount of research carried out by Melissa Bee in preparation for the publication of this book is remarkable, revealing, as it does, that there is virtually no aspect of human endeavour that does not have at least one Melissa among its representatives..

To parody a phrase this book is like a hive full of sweet honey collected by a very busy bee which has buzzed far and wide in its searches.
